
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Degree College, Araku Valley was established as per the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to ensure continuous improvement in the overall performance of the institution. The primary objective of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in academic and administrative processes. The IQAC works towards enhancing the quality of teaching–learning, research, extension activities, and institutional governance. The IQAC plays a vital role in promoting a quality culture within the institution by initiating, planning, and supervising various academic and administrative activities. It encourages innovative teaching practices, faculty development programs, student support initiatives, and effective evaluation mechanisms. The cell also ensures proper documentation and maintenance of quality-related records. Through regular meetings, workshops, seminars, feedback mechanisms, and internal audits, the IQAC strives to achieve excellence and accountability in higher education. It acts as a nodal agency for coordinating quality enhancement measures and preparing the institution for accreditation and ranking processes. The IQAC of Government Degree College, Araku Valley is committed to fostering academic excellence, institutional integrity, and holistic development of students in alignment with the vision and mission of the college.
