Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics is one of the advanced departments of Government Degree College, Arakuvalley, producing nearly 60 graduates every year. The subject Mathematics was introduced in the academic year 2012–2013 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC) combination.

Government Degree College, Arakuvalley is affiliated to Andhra University. The Department of Mathematics follows the course structure prescribed by Andhra University and offers UG programmes in Mathematics. To disseminate knowledge through innovative methods, the department organizes seminars, workshops, and guest lectures. The department provides undergraduate students with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The Department of Mathematics encourages students to pursue higher studies and research in the subject. Along with theoretical knowledge, the department emphasizes value-based education and practical applications of mathematics.
