The Department of Chemistry is one of the advanced departments of Government Degree College, Arakuvalley, producing nearly 80 graduates every year. The subject Chemistry was introduced in the academic year 2012–2013 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC) & Chemistry, Botany, Zoology (CBZ) Combination.
Government Degree College, Arakuvalley is affiliated to Andhra University. The Department of Chemistry follows the Course structure of Andhra University and offering UG Programmes in Chemistry. To disseminate the knowledge through innovative methods the department of Chemistry Organizes seminars and Guest Lectures. The Department of Chemistry provides the opportunity for undergraduate students to obtain a thorough fundamental knowledge in subject. The department of Chemistry encourages the students to pursue higher studies in the subject. We not only aim at theoretical knowledge but also provide the student exposure to value-based education. We strive to provide students employable skills for job opportunities in the field of education and industry.
